About Us

Samaritan Café is a Detroit based company formed in 2010 with the mission to become a well-known eatery place with quality customer service and good food. We believe that a strong commitment to provide the best service in our business core values leads to organizational harmony, operational excellence and superior business results.

We are located in lower level of the Samaritan Center (old Mercy Hospital facility) at 5555 Conner, Detroit, Michigan 48213.   In addition to providing breakfast and lunch service in the aforementioned location, the Samaritan café is also engaged in catering upon request, and providing meal service for non-profit businesses and their diversified group of clients.  The many different venues we serviced have provided us exposure to the public as a business focused on integrity and qualitative excellence in regards to our food service delivery.

Our experience includes childcare feeding programs and providing foodservices to residential programs. In addition, Samaritan Café is a Detroit Public School, City of Detroit, and Wayne State University vendor.  We have maintained compliance with food service standards as established by the Michigan Department of Education Child and Adult Care Food Program, USDA and the local health department.

Moreover, Samaritan Café has the capacity/capability to handle volume in serving, our agency has demonstrated this in our participation in the Hamtramck Food Festival that has an anticipated participation of approximately 50,000 weekend walking public.  The Samaritan Café has also been an annual participant in the Warren-Conner Development Coalition Eastside Extravaganza and Arise Detroit Neighborhood Rising Summit.

Samaritan Café has experienced an inexhaustible list of experiences as afore demonstrated that range from our on-going food service to the pre-school programs to our catered service to the University of Michigan’s School of Education sponsored DNA night, which focused on the genetic curriculum.  We have been afforded these varied and innumerable experiences because of our care/commitment to excellence in food service.     

Furthermore, Samaritan Café provides food service for the Samaritan Behavior Center, a inpatient psychiatric program--visit their site to view the services they have to offer. 

Samaritan Café has staff with more than thirty (30) years of experience, enthusiastic and well trained and devoted to quality food services. Our staff is Servsafe certified.
